But what about me? [V-day/Econ Pckg]

Today is “Valentine’s Day”, which translates to me as “Sexy Singles Day”, “Give Chocolate to Someone Day” or “Don’t drink too much because you may not know who you sleep with day.”

For those of us who are single, the sight of all those hearts and all the red (everything is so red) is overwhelming.  What’s also overwhelming (illogical leap coming) is the economic stimulus relief package coming.   I mean,  it’s nice that the government is doing something awesome for the people; Yahoo news is calling it a comparison to President Roosevelt’s WPA (Works Public Administration.)  The government for the people, is doing something good by the people or what not.  I mean I really think $7 less taxes per week is amazing, in that I could get 5 extra items off the Wendy’s dollar menu per week now.  Gee, thanks.  Really.

What I really need the government to do is to take care of my student loans or at least keep the MTA fares low.  Because if the MTA allows the unlimited card to go rise from $81 to $103 then I’ll A. Have to start walking a lot more places then I already do and B. Not actually afford those extra 5 items off the Wendy’s dollar menu.

C’est la vie.
