I normally pride DeGrassi (the tv show) for being pretty spot on with its cues on teenage behaviors
However, Episode 1019 “Still Fighting Pt. 1″ had a really, really literary allusion and it almost made me go. Ugh.

The skit was off. Essentially, report that skipping parts of the story didnt really detract from its overall flow. The book really couldve been about any author–Dickens the Brontes Hemmingway Fitzgerald–with the same results.
